Mingle & Masterpiece
Participants co-create a large artwork but can add to it only while talking with someone new.
How to Play
- 1Set up a large paper or digital canvas.
- 2People circulate and add small elements—only while conversing with someone they don’t know well.
- 3After 10–15 minutes, step back and reflect on the final piece.
Materials Needed
- Large paper/canvas or shared whiteboard
- Markers or paints
Facilitator Guide
Opening Script:
"Add to the canvas only while chatting with someone you don’t know well. Small strokes, big variety. 10–15 minutes, then gallery walk."
Closing Script:
"What stories emerged in the artwork? Pair visual clusters with the people who created them for follow‑up intros."
Why This Works
A light social constraint encourages mingling while co‑creation lowers social pressure. The artifact becomes a conversation map.
Best For
- Mixers and fairs
- Hybrid socials
- Creative warm‑ups
Important Notes
- Space the canvas to avoid crowding
- Keep materials simple and mess‑free
- Offer a digital board for remote attendees
