Time Heist
Teams invent a playful scheme they would pull off if they could time travel, then pitch it to the group.
How to Play
- 1Split into small groups of 3-4.
- 2Give 3 minutes to plan a time-travel heist (target, era, tools).
- 3Each group pitches in 60 seconds; optional vote for the most creative.
Facilitator Guide
Opening Script:
"In squads of 3â4, design a timeâtravel âheistâ: target, era, and tools. You have 3 minutes; then a 60âsecond pitch."
Closing Script:
"What made a pitch compellingâclarity, constraint, or humor? Note one pattern to apply to upcoming presentations."
Why This Works
Playful constraints create rapid ideation and shared laughter. The microâpitch trains concise storytelling and role clarity under time pressure.
Best For
- Kickoff energizers
- Presentation practice
- Crossâfunctional mixers
Important Notes
- Encourage inclusive roles (speaker, scribe, skeptic) so everyone contributes
- Keep references workâappropriate
- Use a visible timer to enforce cadence
