How to Play

  1. 1Give each person a slip to write a surprising personal fact.
  2. 2Collect and read the facts; the group guesses who wrote it.
  3. 3Author reveals themselves and adds a short story if they’d like.

Facilitator Guide

Opening Script:

"Write a surprising, work‑safe fact about yourself—no names. We’ll draw, guess the author, then hear a one‑line story."

Closing Script:

"Notice which clues helped you guess—turn those into better intro prompts next time."

Why This Works

Anonymity reduces spotlight anxiety while still surfacing memorable personal hooks. Quick reveals keep momentum high.

Best For

  • New groups
  • Conference tables
  • 10–20 minute openers

Important Notes

  • Model boundaries; no sensitive or identifying info about others
  • Encourage concise facts to fit time
  • Offer opt‑out or ‘pass’
