How to organize a Secret Santa draw
Enter one distinguishable name per line. You can also add an event name, exchange date, budget, and a short note.
Set any one-way exclusions, or use the two-way option when two people should not draw each other.
Draw names to create one valid assignment and one individual result link for every participant.
Save the organizer's link pack, then send each link only to the person named beside it.

Before you draw

How does this Secret Santa generator work?
Enter 3–50 participant names, add any exclusions, and start the draw. The generator creates a randomized valid assignment in which everyone gives to one person, receives from one person, and never draws themself.
Do participants need an account or email address?
No. The organizer enters names and sends each participant an individual result link using text, chat, email, or another channel the group already uses.
How do exclusions work?
An exclusion is directional: it prevents one named person from drawing another. Use the two-way option when neither person should draw the other, such as partners or people in the same household.
Can the organizer see the assignments?
Yes. The organizer creates the complete set of result links and can save or open them. The tool does not make the draw hidden from the organizer.
Who can view an individual result link?
Anyone who has the complete link can view that result. Send each link only to the intended participant instead of posting the full set in a group chat.
What happens if a participant loses their link?
The organizer can resend it from the saved link pack. Save that pack before leaving the results screen, and treat every link in it as the corresponding participant's result.
Can I add or remove someone after the draw?
Not within the existing draw. Update the participant list and run a complete new draw, then tell everyone to use only the new links.
Can I include a date, budget, or gift instructions?
Yes. Add an optional event name, exchange date, budget, and short note. These details appear with each participant's result.
Is Secret Santa the same as White Elephant?
No. Secret Santa assigns each person a recipient in advance. White Elephant, Yankee Swap, and similar games usually involve choosing or stealing wrapped gifts during the event.
